The Sixth Form Team recently held an open evening for prospective students for the 2022 intake. The event, held on Thursday 14th October welcomed Year 11 students from over 20 different schools. The evening was a great opportunity to meet staff and students, see what subjects are on offer, and get a taste of the wide range of enrichment activities available.
The main presentation, entitled “What is important to us” given by the head of sixth form and students can be seen below. You can also watch our introductory film. If you were unable to attend the open evening then please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. We will aim to invite students from other schools in for a tour at a future date. Applicants from new schools will also have two further opportunities to visit the school this year; first for their Information and Guidance Meeting and for a Taster Day following their GCSEs.
The main open evening presentation for those unable to attend.
The application site is now live and we are accepting applications for September 2022. If you registered for the open evening then we have resent the welcome email with the link to your application. If you have not received this then please email email@example.com or alternatively you can just start a new online application.
Please note that we are starting our half term from Monday 18th October and return to school on Monday 1st November. Emails will be monitored during the first week and any emails received during the second week will be replied to from 1st November.
Students are reminded that their course selection can be amended after their application is submitted by discussing it with a member of the sixth form team. All new students will have a meeting to discuss their application and ensure they are choosing the best combination of courses for them and Thomas Hardye students will initially have this discussion with their tutor. Course selection will be also be discussed on enrolment day next September and any changes that are being made in light of examination results.
The Thomas Hardye School is an Outstanding School (OFSTED 2015). We work hard with all our students to ensure that they achieve their own goals. We are really excited to show you our school and for you to be part of our future.
